    Hello-
I’m thinking out loud, but would appreciate your thoughts on this OAT.

I have an OAT with HVA at 42. Would think likely clostridium and maybe DBH deficiency.

This woman has extreme HTN – DBH probably not the issue.
Clostridium markers normal- although HPHPA 203.

Tartaric 21-so likely candida or mold.
    Quinolinic 7.7
    Found mold:
    Ochratoxin A 54
    Mycophenolic acid 4,055- whew!

    Arsenic remediation plant next door.
Started with hair test- high arsenic.

This woman is diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Her HVA tells me she produces dopamine, but is likely impacted by metal.
    Does this make sense?
Do you think the mold is protective here?
Doing basic gut repair, detox support, binder, herbal anti fungal- eagerly await metal and mold modules.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    Dr. March,
A 42 on HVA is very high. Definitely clostridia, but probably not a DBH deficiency genetically because of hypertension.

The Tartaric is linked to Aspergillus which confirms the high Ochratoxin and maybe the Mycophenolic (which could be Penicillium too).

    Arsenic! Wow!

Is she on any Parkinson’s medications?

I think the mold is problematic and so is the metals. But, the first priority is to get rid of the clostridia. That alone could be driving up HVA.

    How is her Pyroglutamic?

Are you addressing the clostridia or is that part of antifungal?

    Sincerely,
    Dr. Woeller

    Thanks for your response.

Pyroglutamic is high at 36- on NAC. Trying to coax use of smelly gsh. Still working on it.

    Very slow going!

Getting bowels to move was a major feat.

Bringing in clean water- no more well.
    Clean diet- gluten free.
Doing Biocidin and corebiotic, amongst other things- like methyl folate and b12( homocysteine is 15)
Have her on NAC, coq10, l- carnitine.

She stopped c dope/ l dope about a year ago – no change on or off med.
    Eliquis- stroke history.
Definitely feel like I’m walking a tight rope with her fish oil.

We’re coming up on retesting- I’ll keep you posted.
    Thank you,
    Teri

    Teri,
I misread the original post. I thought the HPHPA was elevated which would most likely be the reason for high HVA. However, it is still possible to get DBH interference from clostridia. The Biocidin and CoreBiotic are a good idea.

I think it is possible some of these mycotoxins may interfere with DBH too. Here is one called Fusaric Acid produced by Fusarium mold that interferes with DBH – https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/antibiotics1968/22/5/22_5_228/_article.

    Sincerely,
    Dr. Woeller
